Logistech Distribution Services Ltd offers a flexible storage and inventory management environment for Thailand's importers and exporters in a bonded general warehouse. Logistech is located at the Hi-Tech Industrial Estate, 45 minutes north of Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi international airport in an area classified as an Export Processing Zone. The 5,000 square meter facility affords greater flexibility in the handling of all types of material and equipment.
Tax-Deferred Imports
Consignments imported to Thailand via air, ocean or truck can be moved under Customs bond to the Logistech warehouse free of duty and Value Added Tax, where they can be stored in bond. Duty and taxes are not payable until the material leaves Logistech and an import entry is processed through Customs. Material from the original consigment can be removed in any quantity under a separate entry.
Non-dutiable material imported for use by Board of Investment promoted manufacturers can also be handled via the LDS bond. Material is custom cleared when it leaves the bond, and all the required documentation for a BOI entry can be processed as needed.
Inventory Management
"Vendor Managed" or "Shipper Owned" inventory programs are feasible utilizing the tax deferred environment at Logistech. Large consignments of raw material may be imported and staged at Logistech for release in smaller lots as required to individual importers. Formal importation of the lots does not occur until they are released from LDS and the import entry is filed.
Distribution & Parts Bank Programs
Material can also be brought into Thailand without duty and tax exposure to supply "parts bank" or regional distribution programs, because goods staged at the LDS warehouse can be imported or re-exported back out of the country on demand. A wide range of services are available to support these activities, including breakdown, repackaging, kitting, labeling and generation of documentation. Access to inventory by technical personnel can be arranged at any time to facilitate inspection, testing or other activities.
Deferred Exports & In-Country Transfers
Export consignments may also be moved via Logistech, making it possible to process an export entry and obtain a "blue corner" or "forwarders receipt" without physically moving the material out of Thailand. This makes it possible for a exporter to stage finished product outside of their factory until the buyer is ready to accept the order. Materials can also be moved between "BOI" and "bonded" or "EPZ" environments via Logistech, eliminating the need to move the material out of country and back to satisfy the documentary requirements of Customs and the Board of Investment.

The Logistech building is newly-constructed, and equipped with modern cargo storage and handling equipment as well as a computerized inventory management and tracking system. The inventory database can be accessed via the internet , providing trading partners with visibility to inventory status and movement at the individual part level.
